Your doctor, nurse or pharmacist will also be able to help answer any questions you may have about high cholesterol, and what steps you can take to control your cholesterol and minimise your risk of heart problems. They may also be able to tell you about support groups in your area.

Finally, ask your family and friends for help and support. Encourage them to cook and eat more healthily. Go for walks and exercise together. And remember that by helping you, they’re also helping themselves to reduce
their risk of heart problems.
