What is Kalium Durules® ?

These contain the substance potassium chloride, which is essential to
the body.

What is Kalium Durules® used for?

Potassium is vital for the normal operation of the nervous system, muscles and kidney function:

  • Too little potassium in the bloodstream (hypokalaemia) causes weakness, fatigue, heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias), paralysis, and kidney problems.

  • Sometimes, this can occur during certain illnesses or treatment with water tablets (diuretics).

  • Potassium chloride is in the class of drugs called potassium supplements that are used to prevent hypokalaemia.

How does Kalium Durules® work ?

Kalium Durules work by providing a direct replacement of potassium in the body.

How is Kalium Durules® given ?

Kalium Durules are supplied as tablets, which are designed to release the medicine slowly once they have been taken.
